PREPARE FOR BIRTH AND PARENTHOOD
Pregnancy, Birth, and Baby 2024
DTP offers physical, mental and emotional education for a healthy approach to pregnancy, birth and parenting in our post-pandemic world, with the following award-winning, evidence-based programs:
- CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION for couples, includes videos, reading and a private Zoom session on partner-based physical and emotional support skills, with Yale’s pre/postnatal movement specialist Ann Cowlin, MA CSM CCE ($89)
- NEWBORN CARE for couples, includes four 20-minute videos on the period immediately following birth for mom and baby, early appearance, breathing, feeding, burping, diapering, and infant needs and behaviors for 0–1 year, with a written curriculum, references for additional information, and email access for questions ($35)
- Yale Health Center PACKAGE: Childbirth Education and Newborn Care ($99)
- LACTATION and NUTRITION EDUCATION + SUPPORT, including prenatal breastfeeding consultation and postpartum support with DTP lactation and nutrition consultant Michelle Chirby, MS IBCLC (individual by need)
- PREGNANCY DANCE FITNESS (DTP), includes dance fitness for endurance and strength, mindfulness, stress release, relaxation and support with Ann. Research demonstrates this is an effective program for beneficial outcomes. Meets Mondays 6 ‑7:15 p.m. via Zoom. First class free. ($35/month). In-person classes in the Spring.
- BIRTH RECOVERY FITNESS, a 5‑week program of somatic movement to help new moms recover body integrity and coping skills. Meets Tuesdays 10 — 10:45 a.m. via Zoom, dates depending on recent births. You receive PDF reminders of each week’s activity and a program video at the end of the course. Stay at home, and meet other new moms and babies while you recover. ($35)
- MOM + BABY WALKING GROUP (seasonal and weather-dependent), restarts in the Spring!CONTACT INFORMATION: For registration and a participant form, contact Ann via email at director@dancingthrupregnancy.com

- Additional Resources for Pregnancy Fitness & Well-Being Our classes include evidence-based practices for healthy moms, babies and families. DTP supports scientific research to improve maternal and infant health. We continually update and improve our programs to make them relevant to each new generation of parents! We are also available for private classes and personal training.
